Looks 4 Less: Lunching in Michael Kors--Emma Stone Inspired

Lunching in Michael Kors
Lunching in Michael Kors by confectionarystyle featuring club manhattan

This look is inspired by Emma Stone's outfit that she wore at Gilda's Club benefit her outfit was by Michael Kors. In my Look for less, I tried my best to find similar pieces to Emma's Outfit, but it was kind of hard finding the exact smae colors. So overall I went for the textures and feel of the outfit, and things that look similar or close to the original look.

My overall Emma Stone look for less costs $ 246 USD, which is probably the price of the Michael Kors pants that Emma Stone is wearing. So as usual let me know what you think in the comments.

Guess Girl Perfume

Guess Girl

Guess Girl by confectionarystyle featuring guess

Hello my peeporinoes!! (Does that sound weird, to you guys ?) I totally, made that word up (peeps+pepperonis). I have been drinking to much coffee, this past week. That explains, the made up words. Although, I am a MASTER at word creation. Just ask my parents. Wait, you can't ask them.
Anywhosies, there I go again, with the word creation. :P
Well, I was inspired by the new fragrance by GUESS. Guess Girl, represents the essence of most girls; and that is pure girlishness. I mean, even the bottle is totally adorable and so girly. So basically, I played the look of, of the bottles design and the perfume description.
Exciting. Bold. Sexy. Playful. Guess Girl makes an entrance with a burst of vibrant fruits--raspberry nectar, melon and bergamot mist. The flirtation continues with exotic and rare flowers--Brazilian Paradise Orchid, Acacia Flower and Lily. Creamy woods and vanilla tease the senses, leaving an irresistible and unforgettable impression.
  • Top Notes: Raspberry Nectar, Melon and Bergamot Mist
  • Mid Notes: Brazilian Paradise Orchid, Acacia Flower and Lily
  • Dry down: Skin Musk, Natural Australian Sandalwood, Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla
I mean, look at all those wonderful smells. And what type of thing, describes a girly girl, better than flowers. Since, there are so many flowers in this fragrance, I decided to go for a floral dress; being that its Spring and all that jazz. Plus, the playfulness of the sweetheart neckline and length of the dress, adds to the girly vibe. The floral scarf ain't to bad either.

Then, I decided that a peplum blazer, would be perfect to make this outfit, a bit more age appropriate and more womanly (aka: sexy part of the fragrance). I am in love with the oxford shoe (whether it be flat or heeled version). There is just something so classy and chic, about a woman in a beautiful dress and classic shoes; from years gone by. I added that beautiful purse in red, to play of the red flowers in the dress. And then some beautiful statement jewels, in a mint/jade green, to really make it POP. Now, go on girls and make that perfume shine.

Lets all praise the first Lady of Style.
She really outdid herself in this red and magnificent Jason Wu halter gown.
Michelle Obama, joined the President at his second term Inaugural Ball. Hallelujah, for four more years of amazing style. Is it just me, or is she the best dressed first lady, next to Jackie Kennedy of course. I love the red halter dress, more than the white one shoulder one, she wore the first time around. My overall recreation is pretty dead on, I mean the dress is exactly the same, except its more of a deep red (ox blood/burgundy color). Overall look for less (shoes, bag, jewelry, makeup and dress) came to a Total of $ 229 USD. So I hope I did Mrs. Obama and all of you proud.

As I am getting older, I have noticed I want more expensive things for Christmas. This is not to say that I am spoiled, but I have been craving pieces that can withstand the test of time and trends. And nothing is more timeless than jewelry and handbags. I chose the iPad as my number one present for Xmas, as any piece of Apple technology will resist the wear and tear of life and its a piece of equipment that will be there year after year for whatever need I have. A nice quality winter coat is always a must for Christmas, it will keep me warm many years to come and the classic silhouette will never go out of style. A nice big designer handbag is not only sturdy and will withstand wear and tear; but one from Coach will be sure to be a generational favorite. A classic mens watch will go with all my outfits and its a nice timepiece to give to future generations as an heirloom. And you can never go wrong with bright jewels. Diamonds are a girls best friend, especially jewel toned ones for Christmas.
