Girl Power

Girl Power

Girl Power by confectionarystyle featuring hair comb accessories

Kind of like flower power. This dress is the epitome of girl power and femininity. When I think of us women and girls, I think of flowers. Not just for their beauty; but like flowers we are different and come in all shapes and sizes. We are all unique and beautiful just like tulips and daisies. We own our beauty and this dress would be perfect in celebration of any woman.

Style: 6901 is a designer gown from the Homecoming collection

The colors in this dress are just amazing, you will for
sure be the belle of the ball wearing this baby.

Wild Thang

Wild Thing, You make my heart sing. I decided for this look to go with the sexy wild animal and a bit tribal. For the makeup I went with a black smokey eye with a little cat look to it. Who doesn't look great in a cat eye, smokey eye. For the tribal part I went with the arrow ring; a throwback to caveman era. And the jade earrings in a very organic shape, that could represent rock found in a river. For the hair a nice braid up do is perfect for Spring and complements this dress very well. The cheetah print shoes complement the hint of cheetah in the dress. This dress has a combination of early spring colors of robins egg blue and mint green along with hints of brown and gold that are naturally found in nature. Love it.

I think you guys know, how much I love anything Cheetah print by now. So its no surprise I put a cheetah print shoe with a cheetah print prom dress.
No Prom look would be complete without a clutch, it helps keep all your make-up products ready and at hand for any fashion/beauty emergencies.
I am in love with these earrings, totaly want them.
So I hope you liked this look and as usual leave your thoughts in the comments.

Well hello there lovely readers, commenters, and followers. First off, I would like to say thank you; to everyone that has visited my blog this past week. I have been smiling from ear to ear. Think the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, but less creepy. : )
I have really enjoyed reading your lovely comments and replying to each and everyone of you. I have also, enjoyed reading and checking out your blogs, as well. Thanks to those that have also followed me on Twitter and Polyvore and have commented or tweeted me back (links are in the side bar, to the left). And hello, to the 2 new followers, I don't know if you want your names mentioned in the post, but thank you for hitting that follow button, it has made my blog year. I really do appreciate each and everyone of you, and I look forward to getting to know you and your blogs as well. Don't be strangers.

Well, with that said, lets get on with the post.
If you haven't noticed by now, I like to enter Polyvore outfit contests and Color Theory with Meredith Wendell, was no exception.
I, like many girls who love fashion, dream of owning some designer duds, within our lifetime. But alas, not all of us are that lucky. Therefore, we live vicariously through contests such as the ones, found on Polyvore. I enter many of these contests, knowing that there is a million to 1 chance of wining, but its the high one gets, from knowing that they have a chance at winning something. I know I probably say this with every outfit I have created, by I truly would wear something like this.
I love the wedge shoes for their ease and comfort level. Pink dresses or anything pink and girly, are my weakness. And a bold bag and some blingy accessories are the cherry on top. Well, I hope you like it, and let me know what you think in the comments below. And please don't forget to follow with GFC or Bloglovin (links to the right). A follower a day keeps the doctor away. ; )

P.S. To all those preparing for the Snow Apocalypse, coming this weekend to the U.S. East Coast, stay safe and bundle up. My prayers are with you and your family and friends.

Lets all praise the first Lady of Style.
She really outdid herself in this red and magnificent Jason Wu halter gown.
Michelle Obama, joined the President at his second term Inaugural Ball. Hallelujah, for four more years of amazing style. Is it just me, or is she the best dressed first lady, next to Jackie Kennedy of course. I love the red halter dress, more than the white one shoulder one, she wore the first time around. My overall recreation is pretty dead on, I mean the dress is exactly the same, except its more of a deep red (ox blood/burgundy color). Overall look for less (shoes, bag, jewelry, makeup and dress) came to a Total of $ 229 USD. So I hope I did Mrs. Obama and all of you proud.

Looks 4 Less: Emmy Rossum in Dior!

Overall Total Look: $ 199
Rossum was bright as sunshine in this Dior; yellow v-neck, short sleeved mini dress. I think yellow is the best color for pale skin tones, as it instantly brightens up a person's appearance. It is like being a giant ball of happiness.

My overall look for less: dress, shoes and accessories came to a total of $ 199 under 200 woohoo. That is probably way less than the actual price tag of the Dior dress; I am betting. Therefore, I am patting myself on the back. You can still get the designer look for a fraction of the cost.

I actually like the shoes and dress of my look better. I prefer chunky strappy heels, as I feel my foot is more stable and secure, so less chances of falling on the red carpet. Ha-ha. In addition, I love my dress purely for the bejeweled belt in the middle; you can never go wrong with sparkles on a dress and the cut prefect for any age or body shape. It hits the high notes in all the right places.

Well let me know what y'all think in the comments below.
